A noun is a word that names a person, place, animals, thing, or idea.

1. Proper Noun


Names a specific person, place, or thing.

Always capitalized.

4. Collective Noun

A word that refers to a group of people or things.

5. Material Noun

A material noun names a material or substance from which things are made.
